- 2 c. (16 oz.) stewed or regular tomatoes
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- dash of pepper
- 3 c. fresh bread crumbs
- 3 Tbsp. melted margarine
Directions

1Drain 1/4 cup liquid from tomatoes.

2Blend cornstarch and seasonings with liquid.

3Combine with tomatoes and remaining liquid.

4Toss bread crumbs with melted butter.

5Mix half with tomatoes.

6Spoon into a 2-quart casserole; top with remaining crumbs and bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
