School Cinnamon Rolls

- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1 1/4 c. water
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 1 egg
- 2 1/2 tsp. powdered milk
- 4 to 4 1/2 c. flour
- 3/4 tsp. salt
Directions

1Dissolve yeast and sugar in lukewarm water.

2Add melted shortening and beaten egg.

3Add flour, powdered milk and salt.

4Mix thoroughly.

5Cover and let rise until double.
-
6Work down and roll to 1/2-inch thickness.

7Brush with butter, sprinkle with cinnamon mix and roll up lengthwise.

8Cut into 12 (2 1/2-inch thick) rolls. Place on greased tray and let rise until double.

9Bake in 400° oven for 20 to 25 minutes.

10Brush with powdered sugar glaze.
