Ingredients

  • 4 c. flour
  • 4 tsp. baking powder
  • 4 oz. margarine
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 1 1/4 c. milk
  • 3/4 c. raisins
  • 2 eggs, beaten

Directions

    Blend first four ingredients together.

    Add raisins.

    Blend in, then add milk.

    Blend until a ball forms.

    Place on floured board and knead for a few minutes.

    Cut in half, make two circles. Flatten to about 2 inches thick.

    Cut through each circle into eighths.

    Place on greased sheet pan.

    Separate wedges slightly. Brush with beaten egg.

    Bake at 375° for 35 minutes or until golden brown.
