- 2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. vegetable shortening
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 c. mandarin marmalade
- 2 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 3 Tbsp. mandarin peel in syrup
Directions

1Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar; with a pastry blender, thoroughly cut in shortening.

2Add eggs, milk and mandarin peel, mix to make a soft dough.

3Turn out on floured surface and divide in half.

4Pat half into bottom of greased 8-inch cake pan.

5Press dough about 1/2-inch up sides of pan.

6Spread dough with marmalade.

7Cover with remaining half of dough.

8With a floured knife, cut through dough, dividing into 6 wedges.

9Bake 20 to 25 minutes in a 425° oven.
