- 2 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. butter or oleo
- 3/4 c. buttermilk
Directions

1In bowl combine flour, baking powder and salt.

2Add butter. Combine with your fingers or wooden spoon until coarse crumbs form.

3Add buttermilk, quickly stir to form a dough.

4Divide dough in half.

5Form each half into a ball.

6Flatten to a round.

7Place on lightly greased baking sheet.

8Cut each crosswise into 4 pieces but not all the way through.

9Bake at 425° for 10 to 15 minutes.

10Serve hot.

11Good served with orange marmalade or jam. Yields 8, 175 calories per serving.
