- 2 beaten eggs and as much milk as needed to make 1 1/2 c.
- as many currants as you want or raisins or dried cranberries
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Blend dry ingredients using pastry cutter.

3Add beaten eggs and milk.

4Handling as little as possible, drop by large spoon onto greased cookie sheets.

5Cook 20 minutes or until light brown.

6Serve plain with marmalade or lemon curd.
