- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. light syrup
- 1 c. peanut butter
- 6 c. Rice Krispies
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. butterscotch morsels or 1 c. each of last 2 ingredients
Directions

1In a 3-quart saucepan, cook sugar and light syrup over moderate heat until mixture boils.

2Remove from heat.

3Stir in peanut butter.

4Mix in the Rice Krispies.

5Press into a 9 x 13-inch pan and let harden.

6Melt chocolate and butterscotch morsels over hot water (but not boiling water).

7Stir to blend and spread over cereal mixture.

8Chill about 5 minutes until top is firm.

9Cut into bars.

10Makes 48 (2 x 1-inch) bars.
