  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. cream tartar
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. butter

Directions

    Sift dry ingredients together. Cut in butter. Stir in milk to make a soft dough. Divide into 2 round portions. Cut each round into 4 wedges. Place on baking sheet. Brush with milk. Bake at 400° for 12-15 minutes. Serve warm with preserves.
