- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. sugar (heaping)
- 2 Tbsp. butter or bacon fat
- 1 egg, beaten
- buttermilk
Directions

1Mix dry ingredients and butter (or bacon fat) until crumbly. Add beaten egg and enough buttermilk to make gooey biscuit dough. Pat 1/2-inch thick on well floured board; cut with knife or biscuit cutter.

2Cook on low on heated griddle; turn when slightly browned.

3Or bake on cookie sheet at 350° until light brown. Clean pan between bakings.
