- 1 c. (2 sticks) butter (no substitute)
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
Directions

1Soften butter to room temperature.

2Combine butter, sugar and flour.

3Mix with hands until ball forms.

4Divide dough in half. Place in two 9 inch pie tins.

5Pat down firmly.

6Press around edges with fork and prick all over with fork.

7Bake at 325° about 45 to 50 minutes, until golden brown.

8While still warm, score through into pie shaped wedges.

9When completely cool,

10gently cut through original cuts and carefully remove from plate.

11Delicious alone or served with tea or coffee.

12Good with fruit or ice cream.
