- 1 c. sugar
- 2 1/2 c. sifted flour
Directions

1Mix butter and sugar thoroughly.

2Stir in flour.

3Mix thoroughly with hands.

4Chill dough.

5Roll out 1/3 to 1/2 inch thick.

6Cut into fancy shapes.

7Place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake (the tops do not brown during baking, nor does the shape of the cookies change) at 300° for 20 to 25 minutes.

8Makes about 2 dozen 1 x 1 1/2-inch cookies.
