- 1 1/4 c. flour
- 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 firm butter, cut into pieces

Directions

1In bowl, stir together flour, cornstarch, and 1/4 cup sugar. Rub in butter with fingers until mixture is crumbly and no large particles remain.

2Place in an ungreased 8 or 9-inch round baking dish with a removable bottom.

3Firmly press out dough into an even layer.

4With tines of a fork, make impressions around edge of dough, then prick surface evenly.

5Bake in 325° oven about 40 minutes.

6Remove from oven and cut while still hot into 8 to 12 wedges.

7Sprinkle with sugar and cool.
