- 1 (2 lb.) pkg. frozen hash brown potatoes, thawed
- 2 1/2 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
- 2 c. sour cream
- 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of chicken or mushroom soup
- 1/2 c. chopped onions
- 1/4 c. butter
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 c. cornflake crumbs
- 1/2 c. butter, melted
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Lightly butter a 7 x 10-inch pan. Combine first 6 ingredients in a large bowl and season with salt and pepper.

3Pour into a baking dish.

4Mix cornflake crumbs and 1/2 cup butter.

5Sprinkle over potatoes.

6Bake about 45 minutes, until browned.
