- 1 lb sharp cheddar cheese, grated
- 1 lb corn oil margarine (I use Fleischman's)
- 4 12 cups all-purpose flour
- 34 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 18 teaspoon salt (several dashes)
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350.

2Combine cheese and margarine in a large bowl and cream thoroughly.

3Add remaining ingredients and blend well.

4Outfit your cookie press with the star plate.

5Squeeze the dough through the press in fairly straight lines onto ungreased cookie sheets.

6Bake cheese straws in preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes or until firm and only beginning to brown.

7Cheese Straws freeze beautifully.
