- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 c. milk
- 1 tsp. salt
- 4 Tbsp. shortening
Directions

1Sift flour, baking powder and salt together; cut in shortening with fork until resembles coarse cornmeal.

2Add milk working in only enough to combine ingredients.

3Turn out on floured board; knead until smooth.

4Pat or roll out 1/2-inch thick and cut with biscuit cutter.

5Place on lightly greased baking sheet.

6Bake in 450° preheated oven 12 to 15 minutes.

7Makes 16 to 18 biscuits.
