- 4 egg whites
- 3 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 c. white Karo
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
- 6 Tbsp. powdered sugar
Directions

1In a saucepan, put sugar, water, Karo and salt; boil until 215° on candy thermometer.

2Meanwhile, beat egg whites until stiff, adding cream of tartar to keep stiff.

3When sugar mixture is ready, add egg whites to it and beat for 5 minutes; adding powdered sugar in the first 3 minutes.

4Drop by spoonfuls onto wax paper. Set until cold.

5Yields 60 to 80 pieces.
