- 3 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. light corn syrup
- 2/3 c. water
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 egg whites
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1Combine sugar, corn syrup and water and boil until thermometer registers 240° or until mixture spins a thread when dropped from a spoon.

2Add salt to egg whites and beat until stiff.

3Slowly pour syrup into beaten egg whites, beating constantly.

4When mixture thickens, add vanilla and nuts.

5Drop from a spoon onto waxed paper.

6Makes 4 dozen.
