Ingredients
- 5 lb. fresh or frozen large shrimp
- 1 onion, peeled and cut in quarters
- 4 ribs celery, cut in quarters
- 6 cloves garlic, peeled and chopped
- 1 c. Old Bay seasoning
- 1/4 c. salt
- 1/4 c. basil
- 3 Tbsp. thyme
Directions

1Bring 6 quarts of water to a boil.

2Add all ingredients except shrimp.

3Bring back to a boil.

4Add shrimp.

5Boil 10 minutes or until shrimp turn pink.

6Remove shrimp from pot and put in container.

7Pour juice from pot over shrimp to cover.

8Refrigerate in juice until cold.

9Before serving, remove shrimp from juice and place on serving platter.

10Serve with cocktail sauce.
