- 1 1/2 c. (8 oz.) sesame seed
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 1 c. light corn syrup
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Directions

1Spread sesame seed on large baking sheet; toast in 350° oven until lightly golden, about 10 minutes, stirring often.

2In 3-quart saucepan, melt butter or margarine; stir in corn syrup and sugar.

3Cook and stir over high heat until candy thermometer reaches soft crack stage (290°).

4Remove from heat and stir in sesame seed, vanilla and salt.

5Immediately pour onto two buttered 15 x 10 x 1 1/2-inch jelly roll pans; spread out thinly.

6Cool. Break into bite-size pieces.

7Makes about 2 pounds.
