  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 3 c. plain flour
  • 5 whole eggs
  • 1 tsp. lemon flavoring
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. 7-Up

Directions

    Cream sugar, Crisco and butter well.

    Add eggs and continue beating.

    Add flour gradually.

    Add flavorings.

    Fold in 7-Up with spoon.

    Do not beat in 7-Up.

    Bake for 1 1/2 hours at 325° and then test for doneness.
