- 1 cup flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 cups dill pickle slices, thin
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- oil (for frying)
Directions

1Mix the flour, salt, cayenne and pepper in a bowl.

2Lightly whip the egg in a separate bowl.

3Add the milk to the egg.

4Heat the oil (about 2 inches) to 325.

5Dip the pickle slices first into the flour, then the egg mixture, and finally back into the flour.

6Carefully place the pickles into the hot oil. Do not overcrowd. Fry until golden brown (about 8 minutes), turning once.

7Drain on paper towels.

8Serve warm.
