  • 4 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk

Directions

    Combine oleo, cocoa and water in a pan.

    Bring to a rapid boil.

    Add sugar, flour, soda and salt, which have been stirred together.

    Add eggs, vanilla and buttermilk.

    Pour into a greased sheet cake pan.

    Bake at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes.
