  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 1 whole Medium Onion, Chopped
  • 3/4 cups Celery, Chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1- 1/2 cup Frozen Green Beans, Bite-sized Pieces
  • 1 cup Canned Diced Tomatoes With Juice
  • 1/2 cups Canned Tomato Sauce
  • 1/4 cups Whole Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • 6 cups Prepared Mashed Potatoes
  • 1 cup Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Grated

    In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium high heat.

    Add ground beef and cook until browned.

    Add onions and celery and cook, stirring often, until slightly softened.

    Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.

    Add green beans, diced tomatoes, and tomato sauce.

    Simmer for about 5 minutes.

    Add milk and simmer for several minutes more, stirring often.

    In a medium casserole pan, spread 1-2 cups of mashed potatoes evenly in the bottom of the pan.
