Sherried Fresh Tomatoes

Ingredients

  • 1 tomato
  • 1 Tbsp. sherry
  • 1/8 tsp. dill weed
  • 1/8 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. mayonnaise
  • 1 Tbsp. finely grated Cheddar cheese

Directions

    Core tomato and slice in half.

    Place cut side up on cookie sheet.
  3. 3
    Pierce each tomato several times with a fork.

    Sprinkle each half with sherry, dill and pepper.
  5. 5
    Broil 2 to 3 minutes. (May be prepared to this point 1 hour before serving.)

    Top each half with a mixture of mayonnaise and cheese.

    Broil for 2 to 3 minutes or until bubbly and slightly browned.

    Serve immediately.
