- 1 pound edamame beans, shelled
- 1 tablespoon dried red pepper flakes
- 4 teaspoons dried orange peel
- 2 teaspoons flax seeds
- 2 1/2 teaspoons sesame seeds
- 2 1/2 teaspoons poppy seeds
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon sichuan peppercorns
- 1/4 teaspoon lavender
Directions

1Warm up the beans in boiling water if you want to serve them warm. Be careful not to cook them - you just want to warm them up. This is optional, as they can be served cold as well.

2Combine all the spices in a spice grinder and grind to almost a powder. You want to see the individual spices when you sprinkle the powder on the beans.

3Put the beans in a bowl or on a plate and sprinkle some of the shichimi over them. Go enjoy the movie!
