- 4 c. flour
- 1 c. margarine
- 1 lb. brown sugar
- 2 c. boiling water
- 1 c. molasses
- 2 tsp. baking soda
Directions

1Mix flour, margarine and sugar to fine crumbs.

2Reserve 1 1/2 cups of crumbs for top.

3Mix water, molasses and baking soda.

4Add to remaining crumbs and beat until very thin batter.

5Pour into 9 x 13-inch pan or fill cupcake tins 1/2 full.

6Sprinkle reserved crumbs on top.

7Bake at 350°.

8Cake 45 to 50 minutes.

9Cupcakes 25 to 30 minutes.
