- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. margarine or butter, melted
- 1/2 c. milk
Directions

1Heat oven to 425°.

2Mix all ingredients until soft dough forms.

3Gently smooth dough into ball on lightly floured cloth-covered board.

4Knead 8 to 10 times.

5Roll dough 1/2-inch thick.

6Cut with floured 3-inch cutter.

7Bake on ungreased cookie sheet until golden brown, 10 to 12 minutes.

8Makes 6 shortcakes.
