- 1/4 c. diced green pepper
- 1/2 c. diced celery
- 1/4 c. minced onion
- 3 Tbsp. melted butter
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- 1 3/4 c. canned tomatoes
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. sugar
- dash of pepper
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 small sprig parsley
- 1 1/2 c. cooked shrimp
- 1/4 tsp. Worcestershire
- 1 1/3 c. cooked rice
Directions

1Saute green pepper, onion and celery in butter until tender, about 5 minutes.

2Add flour and blend.

3Add tomatoes gradually; stir constantly.

4Add salt, pepper, sugar, bay leaf and parsley. Cook gently 30 minutes.

5Remove bay leaf and parsley.

6Add shrimp and Worcestershire sauce.

7Heat.

8Serve Shrimp Creole over rice.
