Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 c. chopped celery
  • 1 clove garlic minced (may use a sprinkle of garlic powder)
  • 3 Tbsp. salad oil
  • 1 lb. can tomatoes
  • 18 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. sugar
  • 1/2 to 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • dash of hot pepper sauce
  • 2 tsp. cornstarch
  • 12 oz. clean, raw shrimp
  • 1/2 c. chopped green pepper

Directions

    Cook onions, celery and garlic in hot oil until tender but not brown.

    Add tomatoes and next 6 ingredients and simmer, uncovered, for 45 minutes.
