Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. cooking oil
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 Tbsp. green pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 1/2 to 2 cans water (12 to 16 oz.)
  • 2 Tbsp. parsley
  • 2 lb. cleaned shrimp
  • salt and pepper
  • 1/8 tsp. cayenne

Directions

    Heat oil over medium heat; add onion and cook until soft. Stir in garlic and green pepper.

    Saute 2 minutes.

    Blend in flour.

    Add tomato sauce and cook another 5 minutes.

    Stir in water, parsley, shrimp, salt, pepper and cayenne.

    Cover and simmer 30 minutes.

    Serve over cooked rice.
