Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp. oil
  • 1/2 c. diced celery
  • 1/2 c. diced onions
  • 1 can tomatoes
  • 1 small can tomato paste
  • 1 large can tomato sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire
  • 1 tsp. Tabasco
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. garlic salt
  • 2 lb. raw, peeled shrimp
  • 1/2 c. diced bell pepper

    Cook celery and onion in oil over low heat until tender in large pot.

    Then add tomatoes (mashed in blender), paste, sauce, sugar, chili powder, Worcestershire, Tabasco, salt and garlic salt.

    To this, add shrimp and bell pepper and simmer 45 minutes. When ready to serve, dissolve the cornstarch in water and add to thicken.

    Serve over rice.
