- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1/2 c. chopped celery
- 3 Tbsp. salad oil
- garlic salt
- 1 (16 oz.) can diced tomatoes
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 tsp. sugar
- dash of hot sauce
- 1/2 tsp. chili powder
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 12 oz. frozen cooked shrimp
- 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
Directions

1Cook onion and celery in oil with garlic salt to taste until tender.

2Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, salt, sugar, chili powder, Worcestershire sauce and hot sauce.

3Simmer, uncovered, for 45 minutes.

4Mix cornstarch with about 1 tablespoon cold water.

5Add to pan and cook until thick.

6Add shrimp and green peppers.

7Cover and simmer for 5 minutes.

8Serve over rice.
