- 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
- 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. paprika
- 1/2 tsp. chili powder
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 tsp. basil or marjoram
- 2 (14 oz.) cans diced or stewed tomatoes
- 1/2 to 3/4 lb. uncooked shrimp
Directions

1Clean and devein shrimp.

2Set aside.

3In frypan, cook onion and green pepper in butter until limp.

4Stir in remaining ingredients, mixing well.

5Bring to a boil.

6Cover and simmer over low heat 12 to 15 minutes or until shrimp are firm and pink, stirring occasionally.

7Serves 4 to 5.
