- 2 Tbsp. parsley
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 small can tomato paste
- 3 3/4 lb. shrimp
- 1/2 lb. margarine
- pinch of red pepper
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 1 1/2 bay leaves
- 1/4 tsp. thyme
- 1 small can diced tomato
- 1/4 c. shortening
Directions

1Cook seasonings in shortening and margarine for 20 minutes. Add tomatoes and tomato paste.

2Cook for 30 more minutes.

3Add shrimp.

4Cook 15 more minutes.

5If not thick enough, add flour roux.

6Makes 12 servings.
