  • 1 1/2 onions
  • 1/2 stalk celery
  • 1 1/4 green peppers
  • 2 Tbsp. parsley
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 small can tomato paste
  • 3 3/4 lb. shrimp
  • 1/2 lb. margarine
  • pinch of red pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 1/2 bay leaves
  • 1/4 tsp. thyme
  • 1 small can diced tomato
  • 1/4 c. shortening

Directions

    Cook seasonings in shortening and margarine for 20 minutes. Add tomatoes and tomato paste.

    Cook for 30 more minutes.

    Add shrimp.

    Cook 15 more minutes.

    If not thick enough, add flour roux.
