Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 lb. shrimp
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped green pepper
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (8 oz.) can water
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire
  • dash of Tabasco

Directions

    Peel, devein and wash shrimp.

    Melt butter in a large skillet and saute onion and green pepper.

    Stir in garlic; remove from heat and blend in flour.

    Add tomato sauce and simmer 5 minutes. Add water, then stir in shrimp and seasonings.

    Cover; simmer 30 minutes.

    Serve over rice.
