Shrimp Dip

  • 8 oz. soft cream cheese
  • 1/4 c. fresh lemon juice
  • 1 lb. shrimp, cooked, peeled and coarsely chopped
  • 2 c. finely chopped green onions
  • 1 c. mayonnaise
  • Louisiana hot sauce or ground cayenne pepper to taste
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • salt to taste

Directions

    In medium-sized mixing bowl, mix the lemon juice and cream cheese together.

    Stir in shrimp and green onions. Add mayonnaise. Stir in hot sauce, Worcestershire and salt.

    Put mixture into serving dish and chill.

    Best if made several hours or one day ahead.

    Serve with crackers.

    Makes a lot, easily enough for 10 to 15 guests.
