  • 1 Tbsp. salad or olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped parsley
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 tsp. oregano
  • 1/4 tsp. basil
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • good dash of cayenne
  • 1 large can crushed Italian tomatoes with or without basil
  • 2 lb. raw shrimp
  • 4 c. hot cooked rice or pasta if preferred
  • Parmesan cheese

Directions

    In oil, saute garlic; add spices and crushed tomatoes.

    Simmer until sauce is reduced.

    Add shrimp that have been peeled and deveined.

    Cook for a few minutes until shrimp are tender.

    Serve over rice or pasta.

    Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top.
