Simple Pho

- 1 whole White Onion
- 1 bunch Green Onion
- 1 bunch Cilantro
- 1 pound Round Steak Or Flank Steak
- 1 package (14 Oz. Size) Rice Noodles
- 1 package Pho Spice (enough For 10 Cups Of Water)

1To get the pho seasoning, you will probably have to go to an Asian food market. It will say pho on it, and is either a powder or cubed, like bouillon. You can see the kind I use in the main picture. Everything else is available at most grocery stores.

2Chop up the green onion and pull leaves off the cilantro. Thinly slice onion.

3Slice steak as thinly as possible. This is easier if you put it in the freezer for 10 minutes.

4Set all ingredients aside.

5In one large pot, boil water for rice noodles.

6In another pot, measure out water for pho seasoning per instructions. Note: the instructions will differ depending on what brand you use. For four people, you need about 10 cups of broth.

7Boil seasoning and noodles in the pot for about 5 minutes.

8Drain noodles.

9Prepare your heat-proof bowl by adding cooked rice noodles, onion, green onion, cilantro, and RAW steak! Add as much of each ingredient as you like.

10Ladle the boiling pho broth over the ingredients of the bowl. This should cook your steak if the broth is really boiling.

11At this point you can add any of the following optional toppings. These are usually served with the pho at restaurants:

18-more cilantro!

19Eat up! If you have them, use chopsticks and those funky Asian soup spoons. If not, forks and spoons work, too!
