Ingredients

  • 32 light caramels (I bag of Kraft)
  • 5 tablespoons cream or 5 tablespoons evaporated milk
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup oatmeal
  • 34 cup brown sugar
  • 12 teaspoon baking soda
  • 14 teaspoon salt
  • 34 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 12 cup chopped walnuts

Directions

    Melt caramels and cream in a double broiler.

    Combine all other ingredients except nuts, chocolate chips and caramel mixture.

    Divide this in half and pat into a 9x13 pan.

    Bake at 350 for 10 minutes.

    Remove from oven, sprinkle chips, nuts over now baked first layer.

    Then pour on the melted caramel.

    Sprinkle rest of the oatmeal mixture on top.

    Bake 15-20 minutes at 350.
