  • 1 c. uncooked rice
  • 3 large carrots, sliced
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 can chopped meat or 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1 large can tomatoes
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 onions, sliced
  • 1 c. celery
  • dash of pepper

Directions

    Place uncooked rice in the bottom of a large casserole (3-quart). Add carrots, onions and celery in individual layers. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cover this with the meat. Add the tomatoes and water. Bake at 350° for 1 hour 15 minutes. Yields 6 to 8 servings.
