- 1 c. uncooked rice
- 3 large carrots, sliced
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 can chopped meat or 1 lb. hamburger
- 1 large can tomatoes
- 1 c. water
- 2 onions, sliced
- 1 c. celery
- dash of pepper
Directions

1Place uncooked rice in the bottom of a large casserole (3-quart). Add carrots, onions and celery in individual layers. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cover this with the meat. Add the tomatoes and water. Bake at 350° for 1 hour 15 minutes. Yields 6 to 8 servings.
