- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1/2 c. rice
- 4 carrots, sliced thin
- 1 lb. ground beef
- salt and pepper
- 1 (No. 2) can tomatoes
Directions

1Put shortening in bottom of large casserole; arrange meat and vegetables in layers listed.
