- 2 pkg. yeast
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 3/8 c. warm water
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 egg, beaten
- 3 1/4 c. flour
Directions

1Put yeast into 1/4 cup warm water until dissolved.

2Mix all ingredients; set in a warm place (add enough flour to make soft dough).

3Cover for 15 to 20 minutes.

4Melt 2 tablespoons butter in pan to bake in.

5Roll out dough 1/2-inch thick; cut with biscuit cutter.

6Dip in melted butter and fold over half.

7Let rise until light.

8Bake for 15 minutes at 400°.

9Makes 20 rolls.
