Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs (750 g) raw large shrimp, peeled and deveined, patted dry
  • 3 cloves garlic, sliced
  • 1/4 tsp (1 ml) salt
  • 1/4 tsp (1 ml) hot pepper flakes
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) olive oil
  • 9-inch (22.5 cm) ovenproof earthenware dish or glass pie plate

Directions

    Preheat oven to 450F (230C)

    Spread out shrimp in baking dish; tuck slices of garlic in amongst shrimp.

    Sprinkle with salt and hot pepper flakes.

    Drizzle oil evenly over shrimp.

    Preheat oven to 350F (180C).

    Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, stirring once or twice, until shrimp are pink and opaque and oil is bubbling.

    Serve at once.
