- 1 (1 lb.) can pork and beans in tomato sauce
- 3 Tbsp. bacon fat
- 5 c. finely shredded cabbage (green)
- 1/2 c. cream or evaporated milk
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Remove pork from beans and mash into bacon fat.

2Heat fat. Add cabbage and cover.

3Cook over moderate heat about five minutes.

4Stir in beans, cream or milk.

5Add seasoning.

6Cover and continue cooking five more minutes or until cabbage is very tender.

7Makes 4 average servings.
