  • 8 bacon slices, cut
  • 1 small thinly sliced onion
  • 1 medium green head cabbage, shredded
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • black pepper to taste (if desired)
  • 1 pod hot pepper (optional)

Directions

    In large skillet over medium heat, fry bacon and onion until onion is tender, about 5 minutes.

    Add remaining ingredients and cook, stirring occasionally, until cabbage is tender, about 10 minutes.
