  • 1 envelope dry onion or onion mushroom soup
  • 1/4 c. olive or vegetable oil
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1 Tbsp. lime or lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut in thin strips
  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen mixed vegetables, partially thawed and drained
  • 1/2 c. spaghetti sauce
  • 1/4 c. red wine
  • hot cooked rice

Directions

    In a large skillet, blend soup mix, oil, water, juice and garlic powder.

    Let stand 5 minutes.

    Then bring to boil, stir in chicken, vegetables, spaghetti sauce and wine.

    Cook, uncovered 5 to 10 minutes, stirring frequently, until the chicken is done. Serve over hot rice.
