- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 1/3 c. yellow cornmeal
- 1/3 c. plain flour, sifted
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 4 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 c. milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Heat oven to 400°. Melt butter in iron skillet or baking pan in oven.

2Sift cornmeal, flour, soda, salt and sugar in mixing bowl.

3Stir in 1 cup of milk, eggs and buttermilk.

4Pour into skillet, then pour other cup of milk over mixture.

5Do not stir. Bake at 400° for 35 minutes.
