Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. cabbage (after grating)
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. vinegar
  • 1 c. sugar (I've cut to 1/2 c.)
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 2 oz. pimento
  • 1 Tbsp. mustard seed
  • 1 c. water

Directions

    Mix together vinegar, sugar, and water.

    Heat this mixture and let it get cold, then mix with cabbage, etc.

    Keep in refrigerator. Wait 24 hours before serving.

    Keeps several days.
