- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 (14 1/2 oz.) cans diced tomatoes (undrained)
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato paste
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 to 2 tsp. dried basil
- 1 to 2 tsp. dried oregano
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 to 1 tsp. dried thyme
- hot cooked spaghetti

1In a skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Transfer to a slow cooker. Add next 10 ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 7 to 8 hours or until heated through. Discard bay leaf. Serve over spaghetti. Yields 6 to 8 servings.
