- 1/4 c. minced onion
- 1 garlic clove, chopped
- 1/4 c. extra virgin olive oil
- 3 1/4 c. (2-14 ounce. cans) sliced stewed tomatoes with liquid, cut into sm. pcs
- 1 tbsp. dry basil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 8 ounce. (3 c.) sm. rigatoni, uncooked
Directions

1Saute/fry onion and garlic in oil in medium skillet till onion is tender, but not brown.

2Add in tomatoes with liquid, basil and salt; bring to boil over medium heat.

3Reduce heat; simmer 20 min, stirring occasionally.

4Cook small rigatoni according to package directions; drain.

5Toss immediately with sauce.

6Garnish with fresh parsley, if you like.
